I have seen strength,

   like an oak in the storm...

I have felt gentleness,

   like a golden summer dawn...

I have heard laughter,

   like a splashing waterfall...

All from a life that gave me life...

I received this verse on a sympathy card when my dad died - 22 years ago. Today, I share this with my cousin, Angie, who lost her dad on February 20th.  We will miss him.
