I went down to the beach today with Roxy. The sun was shining and the breeze was cool. I've been feeling a little off today - I think I know why and I'll get to that in a minute. Anyway, I picked up a stone and it felt so warm. Immediately my thoughts focused away from myself (a good thing) and onto something bigger than me. Wow. The sun could warm this cold stone. And this warm stone warmed up my hand...now we're getting somewhere. Guess what? I started to cry. I think that a big cry has been building up and voila! There it was. I decided that I was going to throw this stone into the water and as I did so, I was going to say "Goodbye! Adios! Farewell!" Goodbye to fear. Goodbye to anger. Goodbye to the past (that BTW cannot be changed no matter how hard or how many tears I cry). And the flip side of all this? Hello to the day. To now. To the future.
So there - sometimes throwing stones (at the beach) can be a good thing!
Keep smiling!
Oh yeah...nerves...fear, I mean, EXCITEMENT! I am starting something new today - I'm a part of a team of Dragon Slayers (actually, that is our team's name for our Dragon Boat). Look out, Yes Man! My guns will soon be a big as yours! LOL!
